System Restore, Windows 8.1 follow these simple steps
Where we always want to start is a simple and popular question, what is a system restore? A system restore, is making a full recovery of your window, back to factory basic setting. This is a simple step by step task, as long as you have the required equipment to do so. The most important key item, the recovery disk that came either with your PC, or your copy of windows 8.1. This recovery disk is the safest, easiest path to achieving positive, powerful results in a short time. Using this recovery disk is as simple as inserting it into your disk drive and following the on screen prompts that come.
The best place for a system recover to start is deciding what files or programs you have on your computer you want to keep. You then need to backup these files to a safe location so you can recover them after your system restore is finished. There are multiple ways to achieve this goal, it is all a matter of which route is more convenient for you. You can plug in a USB flash drive, then simply copy all important files to it. If you would prefer if your computer is equipped with a CD burning disk drive, you can insert a blank CDR (CD writable) into your disk drive, then burn the information on to a disk. If you own an external hard drive, that is the easiest and usually most common route taken, external drives usually have an automatic backup system that prompts when you plug it in. If it is a large enough external drive you can backup your entire drive with ease and speed. Lastly, another option is if you have access to cloud storage, you will be able to backup your information to a cloud storage system and simply be able to recover it via the internet upon returning online after you restore.
After you have backed up any files and info you wish to keep, You are ready to exit all applications on your P.C. and insert the system restore disk. When you insert this disk it will start a series of screen prompts and questions. You have to read carefully and be sure you wish to do this because once you restore it you can’t undo that process. Upon following the prompts it will warn you that this is irreversible, Chose to continue and continue following the instructions. It will ask if you have backed up any files you wish to keep. Then it will begin the system restore process. This process Can take some time, but it will keep you a progress bar so you can easily monitor until it is finished.
After its finish your P.C. Will restart and you have completed a successful system restore. Take a few minutes to set up your restored P.C. Then recover your backup files from whichever source you saved them on. If it was a USB simply plug it back in and copy the files back to your P.C. The same if it was a CDR simply insert in back to the computer and you are done in moments. Same for the cloud or external hard drive, simply reach out and take the files you wish. After all this you are completely done and have achieved a full restore with the files you wished to keep.
