FAT file system is found in some of the earlier versions of Windows 7, 8.1. Recent file systems come with NTFS for enhanced performance and security of data on hard disks and partitions. Sometimes we find it difficult to transfer huge files to a FAT file system, whereas NTFS allows automatic data compression, file encryption and has disk partition quotas.
